Abraham Liberty, 94, Rulo, died at 9:30 o'clock this morning, Sept. 11, 1962, at his home in Rulo. He had been in failing health for six years and bedfast for four years.

Mr. Liberty was a son of the late John and Sophia Liberty. He was born Oct. 17, 1868, in Shawneetown, Gallatin county, Illinois. He moved to Richardson county with his parents when a child and had since resided here.

Mr. Liberty worked for the Burlington railroad for years during his younger life. He farmed in the Rulo area until 1940, when he retired and moved into Rulo.

He was married to Miss Armintie Johnson in 1890. She died in 1903. He married the second time to Eva Black in 1906 at Hebron.

Beside his widow, Mr. Liberty is survived by eight sons, Carl John Liberty, Brush, Colo., Arch Robert Liberty of McFadden, Wyo., Arthur Raymond Liberty and Rube Liberty, both of Kansas City, Ralph Liberty of Rulo, Harold Liberty, Wichita, Kas, Charles Liberty of Leavenworth, Kas, and Richard Liberty, Preston; four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Ray, Springfield, Ill; Mrs. Louis Darveau and Mrs. Ralph Scott, both of Falls City, and Mrs. Lloyd Smith, Manhattan, Wyo., and a step-daughter, Mrs. Pearl Simmons of Chadron. There are many grand-children, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Liberty was a member of the Rulo Catholic Church.

The body of Mr. Liberty is here at the Chaney-Hodgens-Sharrar funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
