'An army tent in which Mr. and Mrs. John C. Chitty of Howell made their home was destroyed by fire Jan. 17, and burned to death their two children, Ollie, age six, and Millie, age four years, Mr. Chitty, who was sick with influenza, and his wife were badly burned and are now under treatment of Dr. Osborne at Howell.
