Martha Hortense Lott Ashmore, 75, passed away December 2, 2003. She was born April 10, 1928. She was a retired cafeteria manager for the Greenwood public schools, and was a Baptist.
She is survived by a son, Nelson Ashmore of Grenada; two daughters, Brenda League of Wappapello, MO, and Ann Poirier of Collierville, TN; two sisters, Ora Callis of Holcomb, and Sara Cooper of Des Arc, AR; a brother, Paul "Barney" Lott of Pearl; 7 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a step great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Ranson Ashmore; and a son, Albert Glen Ashmore.
Services were held at Garner-Harper Funeral Home in Grenada with Rev. Cecil Fayard and Rev. Harold Simmons officiating. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery.
