Mary Ruth Allman Casto, 88, of Parkersburg passed away at Stonerise Nursing Home on February 23, 2024. She was born September 9, 1935, daughter of the late Fredrick Basil and Chloe Belle Karr Allman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert William Casto, formerly from Rockport, WV
Mary was a member of Limestone United Methodist Church. She worked many years at the Colonial House as a great cook. She loved playing Bingo with her many friends. She is survived by five children; Dorothy Casto Springer of Parkersburg, Danny Casto of Belpre, Wayne (Deborah) Casto of Belpre, Raymond Casto, of Parkersburg, and Carolyn Casto Hardman (Wayne Alloway) of Coolville; ten grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters,Velma (Everett) Beha and Freda Taylor, both of Parkersburg.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by seven brothers; Carl, Richard, Benny, Virgil, Clarden, Harold and Fred Allman; three sisters, Lorena Patterson, Sicily Horner, and Telma Mitchell.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 28th, at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home, 521 Fifth St., Parkersburg, WV, with Pastor Ed Leisure officiating. Her family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Vaughan Kimes Funeral Home.
