Angela Lantz-Bergeaux

Jan 23, 1963 - July 7, 2023

Jennings, Louisiana

It's with the heaviest of hearts that we mourn the loss of a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Angela "Angie" Lantz Bergeaux was called from this life unexpectedly on July 7, 2023, at the age of 60. Angie was born January 23, 1963, to Michael "Mike" Lantz and Faye Sittig.

She later gained a mother whom she loved dearly, JoAnn Lantz. Her years in Sales & Advertising allowed her to display her knack for conversation through her marketing. Angie was a lover by nature. She was a doting mother to her son, daughter, and their spouses. She was also an adoring grandmother to her four grandsons who knew her as "Gigi." Angie loved nothing more than sending time with her friends and family, who she loved with great conviction and with a powerful force. She could be heard across town during football season, especially in support of the JHS Bulldogs. You could always depend on her to capture the passing moments to last a lifetime; she believed in taking pictures of everyone and everything to look back on. Most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Angela was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Left to forever cherish Angie's memories are her two children, Blake Bergeaux (Kya Fontenot) of Jennings, LA and Amy (Luke) Ortego of Jennings, LA; her four grandsons, Phoenix, Reid, & Luke "Fred" Bergeaux, Jackson "Jack" Ortego; her brothers, Michael "Noose" (Lisa) Lantz of Jennings, LA, Pat Hale of Scott, LA; her sisters, Michelle Lantz of Jennings, LA, Rachel Ebarb of Hemphill, TX, Katy Lantz of Cypress, TX, Melissa Landreau of Lake Charles, LA; also a long line of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

Angie is preceded in death by her husband, Chris J. Bergeaux; her father, Michael "Mike" Lantz; her mom, JoAnn Lantz; her brother-in-Law, Daniel Ebarb and by many other loved ones that have gone before her, where we know she is rejoicing in that precious reunion.

Funeral Services to honor Angie's life will be held at the Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings, LA on Monday, July 10, 2022, at 11:00 AM with Deacon Mike Trammel officiating.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Those chosen to honor her as her pallbearers will be Michael "Dylan" Lantz, Corey LaMarque, Zachary LaMarque, Sheldon Perry, Hunter Crader, and Ian Ray. Her honorary pallbearer will be her oldest grandson, Phoenix W. Hull-Bergeaux, who held a very special place in her heart just as she holds in his.

Visitation will be held at Matthews & Son Funeral Home in Jennings, LA on Sunday, July 9th from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a Rosary being recited at 6:00 PM Sunday evening. The family request that visitation resume on Monday, July 10th at 8:00 AM until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 AM.
