Marbry Lewis Vance, 85, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2006.

She was born to William Henry and Nancy Whipple Lewis and was the third of eight children. Marbry was born and raised in Show Low and has lived in Show Low all her life. She was a life long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She served in many capacities, including Relief Society Presidency, Sunday school, Primary and Greeter of Show Low 1st Ward. She also served for three years as a Temple Worker in the Mesa Temple. Her unconditional love and faith for her Heavenly Father were never failing. Marbry was known for her garden, flowers and children. She had a special place in her heart for little children and the elderly.

Marbry is survived by her children, Judy (John) Daniel, Janice (Floyd) Gilmore, Cindy Tester, Penny (Mark) Lilly, Polly (Roy) Adams, Carl (Margie) Vance, Dennis Vance, Dahl (Cindy) Vance and Boyce Vance; 28 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Vance, Sr. and two sons, Kerry Lavern and Lewis Shane.
