DEAD IN HIS CABIN.

An Old Man's Body Found Near the Los Burros

Mines Today.

Coroner H. V. Muller was summoned to King City this morning by a telephone message informing him that the body of an old man had been found in his cabin near the Los Burros mining district. Full details of the discovery could not be obtained up to the hour of going to press, as the Coroner had to go about thirty miles by private conveyance after leaving Kings City, but this much is learned that the deceased was named Phillips and that he was aged about 75 years. He was last seen alive Thursday morning and from the condition of the body was in when found it is judged that he died the same day. There were no indications of any foul play and it is supposed that old age was the cause of death. He was feeble and lived alone in his cabin near the mines, leading the life of a hermit. The body was found by a man named Williams, lying in a natural position on the bunk. The inquest will be held this evening.
