Lucio Maldonado, 67 years old, was born Dec. 24, 1955 in Phoenix, AZ & died Feb. 7, 2023 at home in Guadalupe, AZ. He had been in declining health since contracting COVID at the beginning of the outbreak.
He is preceded in death by his younger brother Tony Maldonado. He is survived by an older brother Eddie Maldonado and 7 sisters Mercy Hickman, Lilly Dean, Irene Renner his favorite, Nancy Parker, Linda Maldonado, Rosie Barron & Carmen Capote. He's also survived by many cousins, aunts, uncles & many nieces & nephews that gave him the name "Uncle Lou" that everyone came to know him by.
He spent his early years attending school in Guadalupe AZ, then moved to Salinas CA where he lived for many years & graduated from Alisal High School with the class of '74 before returning to Guadalupe AZ for his final years.
There will be a memorial service for Lucio/Lou at Resthaven Mortuary in Phoenix AZ. on March 4th at 11am followed by burial of his ashes at Resthaven Cemetery.
There will be a small potluck gathering after the burial at his cousin Ernie Maldonado's house for family & close friends.
