Dorothy is the daughter of James Nicholas Seminoff (1893-1968) and Emma Ivan Frolofivich Bogdanoff (1891-1948). She is one of six children: Nellie, Nora, Dorothy, Nicholas, Mary, William.
She married Nicholas Steven Cheechov (1917-2001) on 12 Jul 1942. They had three children: Sharon, Gerald, and Joanne.
Dorothy is my first cousin, 1x removed.

Dorothy Cheechov
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at McCune Garden Chapel for Dorothy Cheechov, 68, a Vacaville resident who died Monday at her home after an illness.
A native of San Francisco, Mrs. Cheechov was a resident of Vacaville for 36 years. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Nick S. of Vacaville; two daughters, Sharon Bounds of Vacaville and Joanne Budler of Napa; a son, Gerald of Vacaville; a sister, Mary Okell of Vacaville; brothers, Nick Seminoff of Oakland and Bill Seminoff of Montana; and five grandchildren.
The Rev. David Mote of the Community Presbyterian Church will conduct the service.
Visitation at the chapel will be Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery. The family requests that remembrances be made to the American Cancer Society.
