A native of Greenville County, she was the daughter of Donald C. and Fay Burgess Prather of Greer and the wife of Keith M. Armstrong.
She was an employee of Central Carolina Bank and was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher.
Surviving in addition to her husband are a daughter, Amy Carol Armstrong of the home; and one sister, Rhonda P. Turner of Landrum.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at The Wood Mortuary.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Zoar United Methodist Church, conducted by the Revs. Richard Hopper, Jimmy Harper and Gerald Johnson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
