Janet Heid of Rockford died Sunday, May 11, 2008, in Madison, Wis. Born in Chicago, daughter of Paul and Edith Ross. Worked at Hamilton-Sundstrand for 21 years as a cost accountant. Janet was widely known for being a longtime breeder of champion Yorkshire Terriers. She belonged to the American Kennel Club, Yorkshire Terrier Club of America and Rockford-Freeport Illinois Kennel Club. She was very proud to be an exhibitor at the Westminster Ken-nel Club Dog Show. Janet was also a member of First Baptist Church, an avid gardener and loved to travel. Survivors include daughters, Sue (Steve) Burgess of Montana and Shari Heid of Colorado; and many special friends. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison and Don and Marilyn Anderson Hospice Care Center in Fitchburg, WI. Service at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, with Pastor Scott Williquette officiating. Interment in Mount Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst. Visitation from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 15, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name to: Paws Humane Society, P.O.
