Age 82, of Gallatin, Tennessee was relieved of his earthly suffering and went to be with the Lord on March 11, 2016.

Charles will forever be remembered as an honest and fair man who loved his family, country, and above all, God. His relationship with the Lord was always given the highest priority; in fact, he was a member of the Church of Christ for fifty-five years. As a beloved member of the Nashville Road Church of Christ, he served as a deacon for twenty-five years. He loved helping others and his ministry touched countless lives. Charles certainly had his priorities in order and his daily life was reflective of that fact.

Charles was a dedicated employee and a hard-working man who always gave his best in every situation. Though he entered the workforce in high school, he began his thirty year tenure with Nicholstone Book Bindery, later known as Loose Leaf Bindery. During his time with Nicholstone, he served as Vice President of Production and the company grew from merely five to over two hundred and fifty employees. At the conclusion of thirty years of dedicated service he attempted entering into retirement; although, he went on to retire from several other firms who desired his drive and experience to assist them in growing their respective businesses. Charles, a Who's Who in the Binding Industry, will be remembered for his contribution and professionalism. After retiring, he found himself working for Ace Hardware, where he enjoyed helping others with their projects by employing skills he learned through a life-long love of tools and working with his hands. Though he was dedicated to his work, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Charles enjoyed vacationing with friends, and especially enjoyed the beaches of Florida. His family will remember him as a big eater who never met a food he didn't like. As a young man, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and an occasional round of golf.

Throughout his lifetime, Charles collected various tools and found solace in working with his hands. He crafted fine birdhouses, maintained his home and automobile, and could repair just about any piece of machinery. Having a "green thumb" was another one of Charles' gifts. He enjoyed gardening and growing his own vegetables, and many benefited from the fruits of his labors.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lela Maude Bracey; daughter, Denise Lynn Bracey; son, Charles "Sandy" Bracey; granddaughter, Sarah Danielle Bracey; and seven siblings.

Charles leaves behind his loving wife of sixty-one years, Grace Bracey; daughter, Karen (Jim) Holmes; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three sisters; and two brothers.
