Funeral Rites Set for Philip Ackerman, 66

Funeral services for Philip Ackerman, 66, long-time North Dakota resident who died at his home at 106 Avenue C Thursday morning, will be conducted from the Webb Funeral Parlors at 2 p.m. Sunday. Mr. Ackerman came to Bismarck in October from near Anamoose, where he had lived since 1902.

Born in Russia, Ackerman married Miss Elizabeth Seitz in Rumania, Dec. 8, 1901, and came to the United States in 1902, settling immediately on a homestead near Anamoose.

In addition to his widow, he leaves seven children, three brothers, three sisters and six grandchildren. Daughters are Maggie, Katie, Hilda and Annie. The two sons are Gust and Andrew.

Rev. Benjamin Schlipf, pastor of the German Baptist church here, will officiate at the services and burial will be in Fairview cemetery here.
