Ewing J. Hunt,84 resident of Decatur for the past three years died Wednesday in his home in Decatur. He was a retired farmer and came to Decatur three years ago to make his home. He was a member of the Baptist church.
He was born in Macoupin county Dec. 20, 1852. He was married to Ruth B. Kretzer July 23, 1883. He leaves his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Flossie Ada Lowe, Morrisonville and Mrs. Lucy C. Eichelberger,Taylorville in addition he leaves two sisters, Mrs. Emma Schippen,Centralia and Mrs. Beatrice Creighton, Armstrong.
Funeral services will be Friday at Dawsons with burial in Harristown cemetery.
