Theresa Notte Took great pride in her home in Hillside and pleasure in reading the daily Star-Ledger Theresa Notte (nee Tedesco) of Union, N.J., a former long-time resident of Hillside, N.J., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at home, with her family at her side. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Michael Church, 1212 Kelly St., Union, N.J., on Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at 10:15 a.m. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery Hillside, N.J. The family will receive their friends at McCracken Funeral Home, 1500 Morris Ave., Union, N.J., on Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Theresa was born in Newark, N.J., and raised her family in Hillside. She took great pride in her home which was evidenced by her expert decorating skills. She was a seamstress and also worked at Baker & Taylor (formerly of Hillside) for 12 years. One of her greatest pleasures was reading the Star-Ledger every day, which she did for over 60 years. Theresa, beautiful inside and out, loved people and showed warmth and affection to everyone she met. Theresa was the beloved wife of John A. Notte (deceased). She is survived by her daughters, Joy Notte Yarem, Linda Marshall, her son-in-law Steve Marshall, and her sister, Catherine Tedesco. She was predeceased by her brothers, Pat and Frank Tedesco.
