Susan "Susie" Cook was daughter of Joseph Wallace Cook, JR and Angenette "Nettie" Adams Cook.


She married Charles Lee Abney and they had

Mrs. Charles Abney, 85, of 4308 5th Ave. Rock Island, died this morning in Illini Hospital.

Services will be at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon in the DeRoo Funeral Home, with Rev. Stephen Massie of first Christian Church, Moline, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Friends may call after noon tomorrow at the funeral home. The former Susie Cook was born in Rapids City. She was married to Mr. Abney April 15, 1907, in Rock Island. He died in 1921.

She had been a member of First Christian Church for 52 years.

Survivors include a step-daughter, Mrs. Mathalee Abney of Rock Island; A grandson, Jack Anderson, with whom Mrs. Abney had resided; and a sister, Mrs. William Emerson of Rock Island. Two Daughters also preceded her in death.
