MELVIN V. HOFFMAN
Services for Melvin V. Hoffman, 59, of 2940 State Ave., who died of a heart attack Thursday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Hamilton's Funeral Home. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Hoffman was born in Des Moines and was a maintenance employee at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. He was a member of Simpson United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; daughter, Gloria Shepherd of Des Moines; two sisters, Evelyn Dennis of Rogersville, Mo., and Alberta Cain of Des Moines; a half-brother, James Shackelford of Tucson, Ariz., and two grandchildren.
The family suggest that any memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at the funeral home.
