WEISER — Navy Airman Ernest Lee (Bill) Foster, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Foster of Weiser, was one of 25 men killed Tuesday in fire and explosions on the aircraft carrier Enterprise.
Airman Foster was born Dec. 12, 1946, at Eugene, Ore. He graduated from Weiser High School in 1966 and .entered the U.S. Navy July 4, 1966. He had served on the Enterprise for two and one-half years.
Survivors in addition to his parents include two brothers, Terry Lee and Thomas Foster of Weiser, his grandmother, Mrs. Annie Foster of Weiser and several aunts and uncles.
Services are pending at Northam-Jones Chapel.
