Gudrun (Bunny) Giordano, of Copiague, died September 26, 2003.
She had worked in security for the Copiague School District for many years. She devoted her time to help all the kids at school and was well-liked by many children who she had inspired over the years.
Surviving Mrs. Giordano are her children Pamela Larsen, Ronald and his wife Judith, James and his wife Mary and John and his wife Patty; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and her sister Clairese Plate.
Mrs. Giordano reposed at the D'Andrea Brother Funeral Home, 99 Oak St., Copiague. On Monday, September 29, 2003, a service was held by the North Lindenhurst Fire Department and a prayer service was said at the funeral home by Rev. Paul Mijas from Our Lady of the Assumption R.C. Church, Copiague that evening. A Mass of Christian Burial was said Tuesday, September 30, 2003, at the church by Rev. Pastor Michael Flynn. Interment followed in Amityville Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the D'Andrea Brothers Funeral Home.
