Funeral for Carolyn Jean Shurbet, 62, of Olney was to be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, in the Lunn Funeral Home chapel in Olney. Scotte Clark was to officiate. Burial was to follow at Restland Cemetery.
Shurbet died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, in Olney.
Born Oct. 22, 1945, in Hamlin to Marion Lee "Dugan" and Lucy Mae (Williams) Bone, she married Jimmie Ralph Shurbet in 1971 in Lawton, Okla. She was a home health aid.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Joy Louise Bone; and a grandson, Allen Wayne Garibay.
She is survived by two sons, Donnie Mac Cox Jr. and Travis Dean Cox, both of Olney; three daughters, Wanda Lee Bone of Abilene, Lucy Jo Garibay and husband, Junior, of Olney, and Barbara Louise Heverly and husband, Jim, of Arkansas; a brother, Carl Douglas Bone and wife, Yvette, of Mineral Wells; two sisters, Shirley Mae Stephens and husband, Steve, of Olney and Freda Sue Reeves and husband, Johnie, of Abilene; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren."
