Joy was the oldest daugther of Marion Lee (Dougan) Bone and Lucy Mae Juanita Williams. Sister to Shirley Stephens, Carolyn Shurbet, Freda Reeves, and Carl Bone. She never married and lived her entire live with her parents until their deaths, taking care of them. She never had children but was a second Mother to her neices and nephews.
She loved the outdoors. As a child I remember spending summers at Grandpa and Grandma's helping Aunt Joy in the garden. There was always weeds to pull or something needed harvesting. She had her flowerbeds also and was always proud to see her little flowers coming up in spring. I think she is why I enjoy gardening and working outside so much. She passed her love of growing things on to me.
She loved her unsweet Tea and her Virgina Slims. She was a Great Woman, And Loved by all.
