Donald A. Robey, 20, of Spencerville, O., Route 1, died at 11:30 p.m. Saturday at General Hospital in Allentown, Pa., from injuries suffered in a fall in that city Dec. 20 from a cablevision pole which broke. He had been working in that area since Oct.
He was born in Hoaglin Township, Van Wert Conty, O., Feb.1, 1951, a son of John and Ruby Reinhard-Robey, Sr.
The accident victim was a graduate of Spencerville High School in 1969, and was a member of the Friends Church in Spencerville.
Surviving are his parents; five sisters, Mrs. Rex (Dorothy) Shaffer of Spencerville Route 1, Mrs. Lowell (Florence) Noland of Elgin, O., Mrs. Raymond (Mary) Young of Northampton, Pa.; Mrs. Darrel (Carol) Bowers of Delphos, O., Route 1, and Miss Nancy Robey, at home; and four brothers, John Robey, Jr. of Spencerville, Franklin D. Robey of Van Wert Route 4, William L. Robey of Ottawa, O., and David D. Robey of Lima, O. Another brother, Richard, was killed in Vietnam in 1967.
There a number of relatives in the Decatur area.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Friends Church in Spencerville with Rev. Jack D. Monette and Rev. Carlos V. Sparks officiating. Burial will be in the Spencerville Cemetery. Friends may call at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville after 7 p.m. Tuesday and at the church after 1 p.m. Thursday.
