Walter Vester Adams, 84, of Route 12, Athens, died Friday at an Athens hospital.
The funeral will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Spry Funeral Home with Joseph Ray officiating. Burial will be in Bottoms Cemetery.
Survivors include four daughters, Judy Harrell of Lakeland, FL, Dorthy Goode, Pauline Evans and Louise Smith, all of Athens; five sons, James Adams of Lakeland, FL, Melvin Adams of New Market, Freeman Adams of Elkmont, Maxie Adams and Walter Vester Adams Jr., both of Athens; a sister, Eva Holt of Athens; 20 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
