A native of Wayne County, Mrs. Owens was born Nov. 7, 1867.
She married Marion Garrett Correll in 1885 and six children were born to this union. Mr. Correll preceded her in death. Mrs. Correll later married Charles Owens, who also preceded her in death.
One of the oldest members of the Camp Ground Baptist Church, Mrs. Owens devoted many years of service to its welfare and development. She served unstintingly in the service of her Lord, giving freely of her time and energies to His work.
Mrs. Owens is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Frogge, Monticello, and Mrs. J. A. Carrigan, Pulaski; four sons, Tom Correll, Clarence Correll, Lucion Correll, and Charles Correll, all of Somerset; 20 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Camp Ground Baptist Church, the Rev. Bert Whitaker officiating. Burial was in the Somerset cemetery.
