Anna C. Tavelli was born in Castle Gate, Utah. The daughter of Louis and Maria Tavelli. She moved to Lafayette as a child and lived there until graduating from high school. She has a B. A. degree from Colorado State College, Greeley, Colorado and attended the Lamont School of Music in Denver
Her entire teaching career has been in Colorado: 1923-26 in Superior, 1927-1931 in Longmont; 1932-33 in Niwot; 1934-35 at the Remington Elementary School in Fort Collins.
Miss Tavelli has traveled extensively and has a great appreciation for the humanities and music.
