Alfred was the first born child of eleven children born to Jordan and Amanda Agnes (Smith) Nelson. He married Sarah Elizabeth (Lizzie) Derrick on January 13, 1901. Together, from my knowledge, they had three children.

2. Herman "Powell" Nelson (1910)
3. Betty Nelson (1918)
***You can see from the headstone, Alfred and Sarah died on the exact same day. I thought maybe they had been in an accident, however, the birth certificate says they both died on the same day from "natural causes".
