Virginia Frances Tate Elliott. 51, of Danville Route 5, died at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Friendship House after a short illness.
She was a member of Mitchellsburg Baptist Church and was retired from Jackson of Danville. She was a graduate of Danville High School. Born in Boyle County on Jan 24, 1932, she was the daughter of Cora Crowe Tate of Danville and the late Albert Tate.
Additional survivors include her husband Sidney Elliott, two daughters, Sue Ellen Owensby of Signal Mountain, Tenn., Dena Bloomingburg of Memphis, Tenn., two sons, Larry Elliott of Buford, Ga., and Eddie Elliott of Memphis, Tenn., three brothers, Harold Tate of Circleville, Ohio, Warren Lee tate of Atlanta and Randall Tate of Danville, one sister Mary Jo Denson of Danville: eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wilder and Edwards Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Stanley Smith. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
