Death Notice, 17 Sep 1907 The Montrose Enterprise, CO - Mrs. Ed Anderson Dead - Passed Away Saturday at Midnight

The Montrose Press, September 20, 1907

Mrs. Augusta Anderson. Death called to her heavenly reward this good, kind and noble woman when she should have been in the prime of strong womanhood. The final summons came Saturday night soon after the hands of the clock had passed the midnight hour. She had been a long sufferer and for several months had been bedfast. Bright's disease claimed her, and although she knew her malady was incurable, she bore the trial patiently and uncomplainingly, even cheerful oftentimes when in the greatest pain. She suffered death many times, yea, more than death, and when the final summons came at last, and her tired soul parted with the frail body, it must have been a great relief to one whose patience and fortitude had been the marvel of all her friends. Deceased was born in Sweden on May 22, 1864, and was just passed 4 4 years of age. She was one of a family of ten, five brothers and five sisters. One of each, with her parents, preceded her to the grave. She was married in this city in June, 1888, and they lived happily together. She was a consistent member of the Lutheran church. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the family residence on South Third street and the remains were interred in Cedar cemetery, following an impressive service by Rev. John J. Shingler and the order of Eastern Star of which she was a member. The cortege was large and the floral offering liberal. The husband has the sympathy of this community in the loss of his helpmeet.
