THE REV. JACK RODGER FREEMAN -
Funeral for the Rev. Jack Rodger Freeman, 64, of Athens will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Junior Hill, Rev. Mickey Dalyrimple, Rev. Mark Tolbert, Rev. Joe Hoover and Rev. Autry Conn officiating.
Burial will be in Decatur City Cemetery with Shelton Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 8:30 at the funeral home. The body will be at the church one hour before the funeral.
Mr. Freeman died Monday, March 6, 2000, at his home. He was born Nov. 23, 1935, in Birmingham, to Roy B. Freeman Sr. and Myrtle Brown Freeman.
He served as a Baptist minister for 40 years at the following churches: Hillsboro, Robinwood, Lincoln Memorial, Shady Grove, Shoal Creek and West Highland. He served in evangelism for five years. He was the brother of the late Bill Freeman and Roy Freeman Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Corum Freeman; two daughters, Lee Ann Freeman Jennings of Lacey's Spring and Heather Freeman Breedlove of Athens; and one brother, Bob Freeman of Auburn.
David Marsh and deacons of West Highland Baptist Church will be pallbearers.
