Chico Cemetery Association records indicate that burial took place on February 11, 1914, with Henry Wilber "age 75". Widow's benefits were issued to Fannie M. Wilber, then a resident of Nebraska, and granted on April 25, 1914.

Obituary from the Chico Enterprise of Feb 10, 1914 states: "... Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur came to California to spend the winter with their daughter, but remained through the coming summer ... the infirmities attending old age caused death."
