Funeral of Mrs. Kreisle
The funeral of Mrs. Sophie Kreisle was held yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock from the Free Presbyterian church and was attended by a large number of the friends and acquaintances of the deceased. The services at the church were conducted by Dr. Vincent, one of the instructors at the Theological Seminary, in the absence of Dr. Smoot, pastor of the church, who is ill. Dr. Vincent was assisted by Dr. Bruck, pastor of the German Methodist church. At the grave side Dr. Vincent delivered a short but very impressive sermon and he was followed by Dr. Bruck, who said a prayer in German. Many floral offerings were laid on the beautiful casket which contained all that was mortal of Mrs. Kreisle.
The following were the pallbearers: Messrs. R. M. Castleman, A. P. Wooldridge, Walter Tips, R. P. Bull, Eugene Bremond, Elton Perry, Judge Z. T. Fulmore and Dr. W. J. Matthews. Interment was in the City Cemetery. (Austin American-Statesman, Austin, Tex, May 6, 1903 )
