Survivors include: daughter, Marcia Maxie Samuels and husband Charles of Shreveport; grandchildren, Jeffery Bryan and wife Brooke of Shreveport, Jennifer Smith and husband Felix and Gary Maxie of Dallas, Bryan Pierce and wife Karen of Bossier City, and Shane Bryan and Bridget Bahm; great grandchildren, Blake, Brooks, Felix II and Matthew; sisters, Rubye Hoss Moody of Lady Lake, Florida, and Margaret Hoss Clark and husband Kimble, of Laurel, Mississippi; a host of nieces, nephews and unrelated children who considered her their grandmother.
Betty was preceded in death by husband Walter Hunter, and parents John Henry and Martha Nora Hoss of Kissimmee, Florida; and brothers Harold Hoss and Bill Hoss of Laurel, Mississippi, and Roger Hoss of Freeport, Texas; and a beloved brother-in-law, Howard Moody of Lady Lake, Florida.
Visitation is Tuesday 6 until 8 p.m. with services on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Centuries Memorial Funeral home on Mansfield Road with interment in Centuries Memorial Park. Betty Hunter was a member of Trinity Heights Baptist Church.
