In her later years she married a Mr. Pyles and it was a very brief marriage, maybe a few weeks. Most of the family never had the opportunity to meet him.

Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb 4, 1971 in the Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev David DuBose and Rev Lester Parks officiating. Pallbearers were Frank Elkins, James Elkins, Harry Weathersby, Alvin Dixon, Allie Ben Prince, and Jewell Barrett. Interment was in the Centennial Methodist Cemetery.
Mrs. Pyles was born in Grady County on Dec 8, 1897 to Cordilia Griffin and Pryor E Gilliard. She has been a life time resident of Grady County and a member of the Centennial Meth Ch.
Surviving are four daughters: (All children by marriage with Olin Jefferson Wimberely) Mrs. Ellen Harvey from Decatur, Mrs. Edna Earle Chason of Cairo, Mrs. Ethel Barwick of Pahokee, FL, Mrs. Louise Morris of Augusta: two sons Ed Wimberley of Augusta, C R Wimberley of Tallahassee: 22 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
