Edna Earle Chason, 75, of Cairo, Ga., died Thursday.

The service will be at 3 P.M. Sunday at Gordon Heights Baptist Church in Cairo, with burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo. Family will receive friends from 7 to 9 P.M. today at Miller-Cooper Funeral Home in Cairo (912-377-2112).

A native and longtime resident of Cairo, she was a homemaker and a member of Gordon Heights Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Judy C. Lisher of Pierce, Ind., Lucretia C. Whigham and Elaine C. Harrison, both of Cairo, and Sara C. Elkins of Boca Raton; a brother, Roger Wimberly of Thomasville, Ga.; two sisters, Ethel W. Barwick of Orange Springs and Louise W. Morris of Macon, Ga.; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was my beloved Aunt and could always make a person laugh. She had a million sayings for every occasion. She was an excellent seamstress, very gifted in creating fashions for her four beautiful daughters. She is greatly missed.
