Nellie Wilson, 80, of Etowah, went home to be with God Thursday, Oct. 21, 1999, at her residence.

A native and lifelong resident of Etowah, she was a member of New Zion Baptist Church and retired from A.D.H. Manufacturing where she worked for 18 years.

A daughter of the late Charlie and Mary Dolan Williams, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Lucille Bivens, Emma Mahoney and Edna Barefield; and two brothers, Arvil and Fred Williams.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Lake Wilson of Etowah; two daughters and one son-in-law, Brenda Faye Wilson of Etowah and Janice and Lee Roy Foster of Athens; one grandson, James Foster of Athens; three sisters, Maggie Hampton, Nina Bryan and Beulah Williams, all of Etowah; two brothers, Ray Williams of Etowah and Burkett Williams of Riceville; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the south chapel of Bordwine Funeral Home with the Rev. Oscar Watson, the Rev. C.B. Bryan and the Rev. Homer Belcher officiating. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Bordwine Funeral Home of Etowah is in charge of arrangements.
