Biographical Sketch.

Anna Margaret SANDBERG, was the 3rd child of Nils/Nels SANDBERG and his wife Augusta Fredrika "Gusta" LARSDOTTER. She spent her younger days living on her parents farm located in Twp. 71 North, Range 38 West, Section 13, Scott Twp., Montgomery Co., Iowa.

On 7 May 1894, she left her parents farm and moved to Fullerton, Nance Co., Nebraska where she married Peter Albert WALL on 9 September 1894.

By 27 June 1900, she and her husband were living Beaver Precinct, Nance Co., Nebraska. They lived on a rented farm until 10 May 1910, when the family was living in Apple Creek Twp., Burleigh Co., North Dakota.

About 1913, she and her husband moved the family from North Dakota to a homestead that they purchased located about 14 miles northeast of Roundup, Musselshell Co., Montana, in Twp., 10 North, Range 26 East, Section 32.

This is where she lived, with her husband, until her died in the farmhouse 18 December 1924. She and the children, who were still living at home remained on the homestead until it was sold before 2 March 1935.

On 2 March 1935 she boarded a train to traveled West to Washington State with her daughter-in-law Genevieve Kathleen (SABINS) Wall, Anna's daughter Myrtle Elvera WALL and Anna's two young grandchildren Philip Albert Wall and Felicity Ruth Wall. They arrived in Olympia, Washington on 4 March 1935.

For a little while she lived with her daughter Alice Alida WALL and her husband Leslie Ernest WILLIAMS, until Albert and Genevieve found a small farm south of Maytown.

From 1 January 1936 untill 11 February 1937, she lived with her youngest son Albert and his wife Genevieve on a rented farm near Maytown, Thurston Co., Washington. This was called the Roseberg place, with was owned by Mr. and Mrs. Roseberg.

On the 11 February 1937, she moved with Albert and Genevieve to the farm they had purchased located about two miles North East of Rainier, Thurston Co.; Washington.

She lived here until she decided to move back to Montana between 1950 and 1954.

She lived with her son David Paul "Dave" WALL and his wife Vera, until her death 15 May 1969.

Mrs. Anna WALL, 95, died Thursday, May 15th, in Roundup at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Vera WALL. She was born Dec. 21, 1873 in Stanton, Iowa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Sandburg. On September 9, 1894 she was married to Albert P. WALL at Fullerton, Nebraska. They lived in Bismarck, ND until coming to Montana in 1910 to homestead in the Big WALL 17 miles northeast of Roundup. Mr. WALL died in 1924. Mrs. WALL made her home with a son, Dave, and his wife and since the death of Mr. Dave WALL in 1966 she has continued to live with her daughter-in-law. Survivors also include two sons, Albert P. WALL of Yelm, Wash., and Art WALL of Centerville, Iowa; two daughters, Mrs. Alice DEWEY of Olympia, Wash., and Mrs. Mable BAKER of Fairfield, Montana; a sister, Mrs. Esther DALEY of Long Beach, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren. Two daughters, Myrtle WALL and Eunice KALB; also two sons, ARNOLD and Dave WALL preceded her in death. Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Monday in the Roberts Funeral Home with Elder Robert Reamy and Priest Clifford McBride of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating. Active bearers were Mike Turley, Frank Harms, Leonard WALL, Henry Hochmuth, Kenneth Griffith and Wayne ANDERSON. Honorary bearers were Angus Daer, B. Lackey, R. P. Griffith, August Adolph, Pete Reeploeg, Fred Giesler, Gerald E. Turley, John E. Turley, Sr., Louis Corbin and James Jones. Interment was in the Roundup City Cemetery.
