According to family legend, Paris was born on February 29, 1884, and would celebrate his birthday on March 1st during non leap years, but all of the documentation I've seen give his date of birth as February 28, 1884.
He was born in Lee County, Virginia, and moved with his family to Hendricks County, Indiana around 1890. He moved to Indianapolis around 1906, and lived there the rest of his life.
He married Ina May Callahan on October 23, 1912 and had 8 children.
He worked as an accountant for the Indiana Bell Telephone Company.
