Born near West Lebanon, November 25, 1910, he was a 1928 graduate of West Lebanon High School. He lived in Warren County all of his life, most of the time in the Independence area.
On July 21, 1933, he married Mildred Louise Price. She survives. He was a former member of Independence Order of Odd Fellows.
Also surviving are a son, Karl 'Bud' Allen Jr., of Monticello; a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Shirley) Shelton of Battle Ground; a brother, Spud Allen of Independence; and two sister, MRs. Thelma Banning of Williamsport and Mrs. Isabelle Galloway of Attica." - January 13, 1990
