12 Dec 1956 Mamie E Smith (Cedar Rapids, Iowa) has received word of the death early Wednesday of a sister Myra Minor McCormick of Vero Beach, Fla after several years' illness.

Born on a farm south of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. McCormick, daughter of the late Samuel and Rhoda Minor, well-known farming family, attended old Washington high school in Cedar Rapids. In 1923 she was married to Frank McCormick, who died several years ago. For 20 years she was associated in business with a sister, Kathryn Bohart of Vero Beach.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Bohart are two other sisters, Pearl Harned of Riverside, Ill, and Ruey Cobb of VanNuys, California and two brothers Chester Minor of Canada and Paul Minor who resides on the home farm in College township.

Services will be conducted at Vero Beach Friday.
