Anna Elizabeth "Maria" (Strickenburger) Mahle 1776-1842
Anna Elizabeth Strickenbruger was born August 22, 1779 in Switzerland, some records indicate that her year of birth may be 1776. She was known as "Maria".
She married Henreich "Henry" Mahle in 1797.
They became the parents to eleven known children; George Mahle, Mary Catherine Elizabeth (Mahle) Seigwath, Sophia Hettie (Mahle) Rickenbrode, Ludwig "Lewis" Mahle, Justus Mahle, Elisabeth (Mahle) Swab, Wilhelmina "Mena" (Mahle) Rickenrode, Adam William Mahle, Helwig Mahle, Catherine (Mahle) Lilligh and Jacob Mahle.
All her children were born in Germany and the entire family migrated to the United States in 1819, arriving in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 27th of that year.
The family lived in Pine Grove, Venango county, Pennsylvania before moving to Washington and Fryburg in Clarion county, Pennsylvania.
Maria passed away September 1, 1843 in Fryburg, Clarion county, Pennsylvania and laid to res in the Dehner Cemetery, in Strobleton, in Clarion county, Pennsylvania.
