Annie received her education through Nash County Public Schools. At an early age, she joined the Bunn Chapel Baptist Church.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late James Perry and to this union five children were born. After his death, she later married Harvey Harrison and to this union six children were born and he also preceded her in death.
She loved her flowers and working in her garden.
She was also preceded in death by two daughters: Geraldine Joyner and Doretha Hart; one son: James Perry; four grandchildren: Robert McClain, Travis Harrison, Bruce Perry and Melissa McClain; five brothers: Jabo, Paul, Clarence, Grover, and Howard; two sisters: Earlean Richardson and Estelle Lynch.
She leaves to cherish her memories, five daughters: Vernell "Mary" Harrison of the home, Dorothy Nicholson, Ernestine Budd (Arthur), and Lillie Clark (Joe), all of Rocky Mount, NC, and Shirley Robinson (Willie) of New Haven, CT; three sons: Percell Harrison (Bertie) of Hampton, VA, Roosevelt Harrison of Newport News, VA and Wesley Harrison (Tami) of Nashville, NC; 23 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; two sisters: Bernice Leonard and Lucy Fox of Rocky Mount, NC; two daughters-in-law: Shirley Perry of Virginia and Marilyn Harrison of Connecticut; one son-in-law: Robert Hart of Pinetops, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held 2:00pm Saturday May 31, 2008 at Bunn Chapel Baptist Church located at 4218 Pleasant Grove Church Road, Nashville, NC, with Rev. Wayne Hines officiating. Interment followed immediately after the service at Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation was held 4pm-6 pm Friday, May 30, 2008 at H.D. Pope Funeral Home Chapel.
