In 1653, William moved his family to Northampton, Hampshire, Massachusetts where he was one of the eight original petitioners. Two of their daughters were married there on the same day, the first two marriages solomnized in Northampton. Mary died three months after William of a suspected disease / epidemic that had spread through the Connecticut River settlements. William died in Northampton on August 2, 1691. Mary died on November 16. They are buried in the Bridge Street Cemetery in Northampton.
