Born April 2, 1927, in the Town of Liberty, Manitowoc County, Harold was a son of the late Paul and Alma Stein Leider.
He attended Liberty Grade and Middle School. Harold went on to serve his country in W.W.II from 1945 to 1947 in the U.S. Army.
In 1949, he was united in marriage to Laurel Sickels. On June 1, 1991, he was united in marriage to Patricia Schreiner in Kiel.
Harold was a journeyman welder and pipe fitter who worked in the ship yards in Manitowoc. He then went on to work for Armour Leather in Sheboygan and retired from the maintenance department at Rocky Knoll in April of 1990. He was a member of the VFW Post 9156. He enjoyed camping and was a snowbird, wintering in Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his children, Laurie (Bob) Kilcrece, Sheboygan, Leann (Mark) Quasius, Town of Wilson, Lisa (David) DeSmith, Cleveland; grandchildren, Jaclyn (Jim) Fanslau, Daniel (Jesse Jindra) Quasius, Matthew (Penny) DeSmith and Ashley (Nick) Freudenreich; two great grandchildren, Anakin Quasius and Hailey DeSmith; step children, Richard (Annette) Buksa, Wauwatosa, Mary (Jay) Hillmann, DePere, Barbara Kolosso, Sheboygan, and Anne (Paul) Tiernan, Stevenson, MI; step grandchildren, Samantha, Michael and Abagaile Buska, Brenton and Elizabeth Becker, Meghan (Jeremy) Pearson, Jacob and Alex Becker, Kai and Elle, Hillmann, Emmanuel, Cassandra, Joshua and Isabella Kolosso, Natasha, Katrina, Holly, and Danielle Tiernan; his brother, Harvey (Lorena) Leider, Manitowoc.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a step grandson, Richard Buksa, III.
