Perry L. Sumner was born on May 15, 1917 in Asheville, NC and went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2008 at a local facility. Perry had resided in Pensacola since 1954 when he came to work for Chemstrand. He retired from Monsanto in 1979 as Chemical Operator. Preceding him in death were his parents, Cary and Hattie Sumner; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ellis and Mildred Sumner and Leo and Mildred Sumner and a grandson, Vence William Perry. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elizabeth Allman Sumner; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Ann and Windell Long, of Molino, FL, Sandra and Gene Ciampini of Cornelia, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Perry Lee, Jr. and Elaine Sumner, of The Villages, FL; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
