SOPERTON — Virginia P. Moxley, 69, of Route 1, died Thursday. Born in Treutlen County, she was the daughter of the late Carlton Phillips, Sr. and Alma Williamson Phillips. She was the widow of Robert Lewis Moxley, Sr. She was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church near Soperton. Survivors: children, Robert L. Moxley, Jr. of Soperton and Carolyn M. Burch of Savannah; sister and brother, Latha Tyson of Adrian and Mickey Phillips of Soperton; and four grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. today in Boiling Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Andy Cook will officiate. Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton has charge of arrangements.
