Chester Henrun Beatty (Chet), son on Lowell Fountaine Beatty and Edith Agnes Montague, was born in Wellington, Sumner County, Kansas. He died in Ulysses, Grant County, Kansas.

Chet married Marie Dufrin, daughter of Edward Carry Dufrin and Malinda Landry, 25 Oct 1924 at Garden City, Finney County, Kansas. They lived in Garden City for a short period of time and then moved to Johnson, Stanton County, Kansas. They lived there until 1943, moving to Ulysses, Grant County, approximately 22 miles from Johnson. They lived the remainder of their lives in Ulysses.

Chet owned his own barbershop in Ulysses and retired sometime in the 1950's. He was a member of the St. John's Episcopal Church in Ulysses. Surviving was his wife, Marie and a daughter, Norma Lee Deyoe. He was preceded in death by a son, Alayne Beatty who died in 1970.
