The funeral service for C. J. Kells, 22 S. Allen, who died Wednesday, will be at the Gibson-Koch Chapel at 10:30 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Bert Sutton officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery.

The son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Kells, he was born Feb. 23, 1900 at Garden City, Kansas.

He married (Mrs.) Maude Sibert, July 17, 1937 at Oswego, Kansas.

He was employed by Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1922; and was first line supervisor at the time of his retirement in 1958. He had lived in Chanute, KS, since 1937.

Kells was a member of the Cedar Lodge AF and AM.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Maude Kells of the home; a (step) daughter, Mrs. Hugh P. (Margery) Fischer, Park Forest, IL; three grandchildren; one brother, Art Kells of Kansas City, KS; and two sisters, Mrs. Guss (sic s/b Gus or Augusta) Buddenhagen, Osawatomie, KS, and Mrs. Lillian Erbland, San Francisco, CA; and one niece.
