William August Draves was the son of William A Draves (1877-1929) and Sylvia S Dunwoody (1884-1962).
He was an electrician, retiring in 1984.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge No. 76, Scottish Rite, Order of the Eastern Star and Shekinah Council No 24 Cryptic Masons.
His survivors include his wife, Katherine Draves of the home; three sons, David Draves, St. Louis; Dale Seffert, Wichita Falls, Texas and Leonard Draves, Blue Springs, Missouri; seven daughters, Patsy Graf, Fockford, Illinois; Barbara Long and Thresa Ray, both of Independence, Missouri; Barbara Jean Johnson, St. Louis, Missouri; Idamae Johnson, Curtiss, Wisconsin; Dianna Draves, Stover, Missouri; and Oladawn Thompson, Osborn, Missouri; a stepson Rick Everts, Casselberry, Florida; a stepdaughter, JoAnn Hall, Sellwood, Florida; a brother Edward Draves, Cedarredge, Colorado, a sister, Sylvia Benson, Nucla, Colorado; 31 grandchildren; 22 great grancchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
The first 30 messages from John the Baptist were delivered to Otto Fetting. After Fetting died in 1933, the messenger then came to William A. Draves.
On October 4, 1937, a young elder in the church, W. A. Draves of Nucla, Colorado, reported that John the Baptist began appearing to him. He is believed to have received ninety messages in total, until 1994 when he died as an old man. These 120 messages in all were compiled as The Word of the Lord Brought to Mankind by an Angel, and published by the church. The church also accepts the Bible and the Record of the Nephites as scripture, and awaits yet another revealed work which the angel is believed to have briefly shown to W. A. Draves during a visit in 1946.
The Articles of Faith and Practice, common to all these churches, including the Temple Lot group, remains unchanged because the first words ascribed to the angel were: "Don't change the Articles of Faith and Practice, because the Lord inspired the men that wrote them."
The foundation work for the temple remained unfinished for many years, and the hole was eventually filled in. The dimensions of the temple are presently marked by six engraved stones embedded in a grassy field next to the Church of Christ (Temple Lot). All of these churches believe the temple will be built within this generation.

Katie was buried in Florida where her first husband, deceased, and children lives The daughter's name is Jo Ann Hall. I cant remember the son's name, I think it was Rick. Thanks again.
