Mr. Crump was a lifelong resident of Jasper. He previously owned Crump Nissan Jeep and currently owned CNJ Motors. His passion was spending time with his family, including his "best friend" – his Golden Retriever, Trouble.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Johnny W. Carmichael.
He is survived by his parents, Bert and Edith Ann Crump of Jasper; sister, Susan Shubert and her husband, Marlin, of Jasper; nieces, Cristy Moody of Jasper, and Kim DeShazo of Trussville; mother-in-law, Lois Carmichael of Forestdale; and sister-in-law, Sandra Rogers and her husband, John, of Morris.
