He was full of life. He would have started his senior year at Alabama this fall. His passion was the McCollum-Midway Fire Department where he had served as a volunteer firefighter for almost two years. He had a tender heart that always loved the underdog.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnny W. Carmichael.
He is survived by his grandparents, Bert and Edith Ann Crump of Jasper, and Lois Carmichael of Forestdale; aunts and uncles, Susan Shubert and her husband, Marlin, of Jasper, and Sandra Rogers and her husband, John L., of Morris; and cousins Cristy Moody of Jasper and Kim DeShazo of Trussville.
